If you know the story, The Math Curse, by Jon Scieszka then you know that it is about a boy who begins to see math everywhere. That's where I am in this global education journey right now. I am working on possible lessons and a Powerpoint for my Colombia International Field Experience. I am trying to think of lessons that require little English, although I will be in a school for 14-18 year olds who have probably have
some English experience. I am trying to focus on pulling together visuals and photos, since "pictures are worth a thousand words."
So, I went to Target yesterday. Like any good educator, I went to the Dollar Spot first and found these wonderful pictures of United States landmarks. I plan to use these as a part of a lesson about the United States. Blessing or curse, I am so grateful to be preparing for this global experience and can't wait to share with students and educators in Colombia!
